Effective 2026-07-19. By using Taawn, you acknowledge that mountain biking involves a risk of serious injury or death. This is a safety and risk acknowledgment for an alpha training-assistance product — not a claim that you waive every legal right. You agree to the following:
Training aid only — stop before you interact
Taawn is a training and analysis aid, not navigation, rescue, or personal protective equipment, and not a race organizer. Stop riding before you operate the app, review overlays, or interact with the device. Never chase times at the expense of your safety or others on the trail.
Verify conditions yourself
Trail status, weather, closures, and your skill level change constantly. Do not attempt lines or speeds suggested by video overlays, rankings, or AI tips unless you have independently verified that the trail is open and suitable and that the attempt matches your ability.
Sanctioned trails and lawful access
Only ride sanctioned, open trails. You warrant that you have lawful access to every place you ride or film. Taawn does not verify trail legality in real time. Uploading or sharing content from illegal or closed trails is prohibited.
Location visibility in uploads
Uploads (video, GPX, telemetry, and related metadata) may reveal your precise location to the audience you choose — by default, your followers. Choose visibility carefully before you share.
GPS-private option
If you enable the GPS-private option, Taawn treats GPS/location from that content as private for display purposes (intended for unsanctioned or sensitive trails). This does not make illegal riding lawful and does not remove all location cues from video itself.
Instructional disclaimer
Any AI-generated technique suggestions (line choice, body position, pacing) are informational only. They do not replace a certified coach, local rules, or your own judgment.
Assumption of inherent sport risk
You assume the inherent risks of mountain biking, including serious injury, death, and equipment damage. To the extent permitted by law, Taawn is not liable for crashes, injuries, death, or equipment damage arising from riding itself or from how you use or rely on the app while riding or training.
German-law carve-out (mandatory)
This acknowledgment does not waive claims that cannot be waived under the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany — including liability for injury to life, body, or health caused by negligence, and liability for intent or gross negligence. Nothing here grants Taawn immunity from all lawsuits.
