Runs

A run is your recorded attempt on a segment. Taawn matches your video to the segment reference and produces a comparison (timing, jumps, Ghost Rider).

Path A — Full flow

  1. Create an activity (GPX)
  2. Create a segment with reference video
  3. Ride the segment again
  4. Upload run from activity detail or segment detail

Path B — Run only

  1. Discover a segment (Maps, Search, Segments, another rider’s profile)
  2. Open segment → Add run to segment
  3. Upload your GoPro video — no GPX or activity required

Same processing

Both paths use the same on-device pipeline and server matching. The only difference is whether an activity is linked on the run record.

Upload run screen

  1. Optional: select camera from Garage (shows “Calibrated” if JSON loaded)
  2. Optional: Perform 3D alignment — only if camera is selected and segment has 3D reconstruction
  3. Pick your GoPro video (same settings as segment)
  4. Wait for metadata extraction and downsampling
  5. Tap Upload — processing continues in background

After upload

  • Check progress under You → current upload jobs
  • Server runs section matching (frame alignment, timing, jumps)
  • View results on segment leaderboard and run detail
  • Ghost Rider overlay compares your line to the reference or other runs

Recording reminder

Use 1080p, 25 FPS, Wide FOV, Normal stabilization — identical to the segment reference video.
